N.C.’s population grew to an estimated 10.5 million people as of July 1, 2019 according to new estimates from the U.S. Census Bureau. Considering that the past decade (2010-2020) has shown one of the lowest total population growth rates in America’s history, North Carolina’s awesomeness is self-evident.
Among all 50 states, North Carolina had the 4th largest population increase since 2018.
Folks who choose to migrate south from within the U.S. are called in-migrants.
