Meet Maddie Balltezegar

 

Madolyn was born and raised in Wilmington, North Carolina. Even though she grew up here she was never a big beach kid. Instead, it was more about computers, video games, and art. Going through her schooling, Madolyn took every computer and art class possible! After finding two of the best classes she could have, Madolyn started getting more involved in architecture classes. She went for her Associates in Architectural Technology thanks to the support from her high school teacher. Unfortunately, due to Covid-19 she was unable to complete her schooling, but she still plans on going back to finish! Madolyn decided to go into Real Estate. After she finished putting herself through Real Estate school, Madolyn was able to start her career by getting an amazing job at SWELL as a Transaction Coordinator!

While still being able to continue her education, Madolyn is so excited to be able to learn and gain experience from some amazing people.

Meet Marisa Marzilli

Marisa likes it when people say hi :)

Marisa is a dog-lover and plant enthusiast! She worked her way up the restaurant chain, from hostess to management until she turned her passions back toward writing. Also, there was a global pandemic and most of the restaurants shut down, which left a lot of lemonade to be made for her and her family. Marisa joined SWELL in 2021 as a Marketing Manager and Transaction Coordinator. Helping people is her true calling, and what better way than to help families find their dream homes?!

Anthony grew up in Raleigh, North Carolina, and relocated to Wilmington in 2014 with his daughter Isabella. In 2015, he hit the jackpot and met Marisa, and roots were officially planted. Trained as a craft bartender with 15+ years in the bar and restaurant game, Anthony “retired” into Real Estate in 2017. After dipping his toes into vacation rental property management in Wrightsville Beach, he proudly joined the team at SWELL home & living as a Buyer’s Agent and Property Manager in 2021. Anthony likes freshly baked bread, any reason to wear a vest, and any movie involving spaceships. He is also super passionate about helping people find their next home and believes that property ownership is truly the foundation of the American Dream.

Meet Ty Shaw

The owner and founder of SWELL home & living, Ty deeply believes in giving back. It’s pretty much what he’s done his entire life.

In 2001 Ty joined the U.S. Marine Corps two weeks prior to September 11th, 2001. As a Marine, Ty served overseas and was injured in combat. After being medically retired from the Marine Corps, he briefly worked with the VFW helping other veterans get VA benefits while going back to school.

Later Ty would become a police officer, fulfilling a dream he had prior to being injured in Iraq. There he enjoyed helping those in need & being a first responder. Eventually Ty would decide to leave law enforcement and pursue a career in Real Estate.

Initially drawn to real estate investing, Ty decided the fastest way to gain expertise was to become licensed and to work as an agent. After working under another agent on a team, Ty branched out on his own. He soon realized most real estate firms and teams don’t really care about home-buyers and home-sellers. They’re primary focus is on squeezing as much money out of their agents as possible…

Ty wanted to create a business that put home-buyers, home-sellers, and the community first. That’s why SWELL offers huge rebates and donates to local charities in our client’s honor after every home sold. That’s also why you won’t see Ty’s name or face plastered everywhere. It’s not about him, it’s about helping others and always will be.

Ty has been able to turn helping into a business and is looking forward to expanding that business into Property Management, Real Estate Investing, and Home Renovations/Construction in the near future. Stay tuned because the best is yet to come!
